Alzheimer's Support group meets every second Thursday of the month at 6:00 p.m. in the Chapel, at Valley Manor. Guest speaker to be announced. The Montrose Rehabilitation Center has been remodeled, 13 private rooms with private baths, wireless internet and flat screen TVs in each room.
Valley Manor Care Centers activity department has purchased It's Never 2 Late (IN2L): A high-tech yet high-touch program for enhancing quality of life and quality of care for seniors, particularly seniors with physical or cognitive disabilities. Its program combines powerful yet friendly, ability-adaptive, mobile personal computers with the hands on guidance of caring mentors. IN2L uses an easy touch-screen interface that allows each resident to have their own profile that they can access just by touching the screen. Touching pictures-based icons on the screen gives the individual access to a wide variety of experiences, games and therapies, including simulation programs like driving, flying and biking
