Featured Program: Massachusetts’ Rebound Program for Adolescents

Teens at a picnic tableRebound's mission is to provide a safe treatment environment for adolescents who are experiencing problems in their lives due to alcohol and other drugs. The residents learn sober living skills, coping techniques that do not include the use of mood-altering chemicals, and tools for preventing relapse into active use.

Towards the end, other issues will be addressed, including physical and mental health, educational and vocational goals, resolving legal matters, and dealing with interpersonal as well as family issues.

The emphasis is on a peer-driven recovery community, rather than a clinically driven treatment setting. Every effort is made to treat every resident in an equal and just manner, rather than focusing on differences, limitations or special needs. This effort is balanced by an appreciation of the unique nature of each person, reasonable accommodations for disabilities, and recognition of the need for staff training and sensitivity for treating a diverse population.
