Dallas and Houston Action Teams Go To Bat for Disabled Adults
Major Leaguers Jason Jennings and Eddie Guardado of the Texas Rangers joined high school student leaders from the Dallas and Houston Action Teams, in two days of volunteer activities, including a volunteer project at Volunteers of America’s Life Enrichment Center which serves residents who live in Volunteers of America’s group homes for developmentally disabled adults in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
The Life Enrichment Center provides clients with independent living skills, arts and crafts classes, fitness and other training opportunities, in addition to meals and a place to interact socially with others.
